Watergate Bay Cornwall

Watergate Bay: Situated a couple of miles to the north of the Cornish seaside resort of Newquay, Watergate Bay is a popular holiday destination and water sports venue. Attracting surfers, windsurfers, sand artists, kite surfers and kite flyers, Watergate Bay also attracts holidaymakers with its long sandy beach, and numerous holiday camps and caravan parks. Its proximity to Newquay, makes it especially attractive, as this famous North Cornwall resort has all the facilities that you would need for a great family holiday. Used for the filming of a number of TV and film productions, Watergate Bay is also the location of one of chef Jamie Oliver’s famous restaurants.

Located just west of Newquay Cornwall Airport, the bay is surrounded by the villages of Tregurrian, Trevarrian, Trevelgue, Mawgan Porth and St Colum Minor.

Among the caravan parks and holiday parks in the immediate area are the Watergate Bay Touring Park, the Beachcombers Apartments (Hoseasons), and the Sun Haven Valley Country Holiday Park.
